That is the best way if one has a portable bandsaw....I think that I will give the chop saw method a go.. Thanks Mark Mark I cut rail in my cutoff bandsaw. I clamp it flange up tipped slightly into the direction of the teeth. This keeps the teeth from having to cut through the induction hardened face of the rail directly and keeps them from dulling.
