Will it fit through a 14" chop saw?
(might be hard on the wheel but should work)
Can you prop it up and heat one end in your forge (easier if you have
a pass-through gas, or side-blast traditional)? I'm not very
experienced but I think you can get a good anneal without bringing it
up to forging temp. You could also throw it in a backyard fire,
campfire, or small bonfire, once the coals are built up :)
Are you wanting to anneal because you have a band saw available, or
does it just need to be annealed before anything can be done with it
at all?
I have a couple 2-to-3-foot segments of some type of joiner rail, I'll
try to get some pix posted, but am also curious on this subject --
