Just a thought that came into my head. Yes I do  have a few every  once in 
awhile.
 
When  my wife broke her ankle and had screws and plate in  it.  She tried to

use the Jacuzzi and found out the metal got to hot to keep her foot  in  it.

She finally  had them  taken  out  when one of  the screws came loose.
But since you live in the cold north country you might not have a Jacuzzi.  
But you might have to worry about it getting cold.
