Steve was making a (humOrOus / humurus pun about a doc
finding any, let alone nine pieces of MY humor useable.
I tend to have a rep for making the occasional attempt
at humor in the Sandbox. <grin>
I agree, the reconstructive surgeon went the distance
to make it as right as he could. HE has that rep.
Useable pieces was my term. In addition there are more
chips, splinters and such than could be cleaned out.
I was given one radiation treatment to prevent all the
little pieces of living bone from growing where ever
they are, like muscle, nerve or joint tissue. The good
bone was shielded of course.
