Bill,
A few more things to consider:
Are you the only source for the runners, or do the crafters have someone
else to go to?
How many do they want. a few or dozens? If they went to a commercial
shop, their price would probably be higher than yours.
How much do the crafters charge for their finished product?
You say "not much skill involved", but YOU have the skill and the flower
pot crafters DON'T.
It's a supply and demand situation. Someone has the demand, and you can
supply.
