I just turn on the propane, click butane torch and stick in mouth of forge and instant fire. No messy coal or coke waiting to heat up. Throw steel in forge and let it heat up. No turning blower handles to keep fire lit. Been there, done that and now use propane. Plus no coal smoke in lungs or nose. Ike Pan's Forge
