I think it will.
I know that fires in coal bunkers used to be so common as to be
unmentioned.
The Titanic, for example, had a fire in one of its coal bunkers for at
least part of its trip.
I heard from a guy who worked in a big power plant here in the USA
recently that coal bunker fires were a common low level annoyance.
The stuff burns.
