[TheForge] Shop heat - hot water heater

If I remember correctly, the pressure into a residence is in inches of
water. I remember 5. Also, as I remember it, it takes 27 inches of water
to make one psi.
Asking for a higher pressure regulator will likely place a residence in the
"business" category, with the attendant tighter rules and higher prices.
Like asking for 3 phase power<G>.

Does the gas company allow you to hook up your forge, or do they not
necessarily know/care? I would think that the pressure into the
house/shop would be much less then that required by the forge. I run
mine at 5-20psi depending on what's going on, can you get that range
from the tank feed? Not sure what the pressure the house heater
takes, but there is a big regulator on the corner of my house. I was
assuming it's pretty low.
I will check with my gas company to see what they say about such
things (we have propane in the house, but the shop is a distance from
the house, so an additional tank may be required). Perhaps a little
wall mounted on such as you describe would work well. It probably
won't have to work too hard to keep up with the temps.
Thanks for the input from all!
