[TheForge] RE: Housekeeping -- _my_ last comment. Well, folks,
it seems we're all dishonest.

Hello, yourself.
It _never_ ceases to amaze me, Terry Ridder, your boundless rudeness,
self-righteousness, and self-aggrandizement.
Another amazement is your propensity for displaying them by flinging insults
at people you don't and can't know except by mailing list postings and
probably will never know otherwise.
Yet another one is your ability to make those people immensely glad they
don't know you otherwise.
I must admit, though, there seems to be high self-esteem apparent in your
writing. However, self-esteem is arrogated: Self-respect is earned.

Example 0.
You just flatly called Paul a liar. How rude!

Example 1.
That's utterly rude too, using poor language to insult by parodying
self-deprecation to imply your target is uneducated or mentally inferior.

Example 2.
Why would you broadly brush such an insult onto an entire craft and all its
practitioners?
Comment: There _are_ people whose custom is far more irritation than their
payment will ever be worth, if one ever gets it. No performance can be
satisfactory. You would seem to qualify.
Purely anecdotally, engineers seem to be highly representative of that
class, especially when they step outside their education.

With whom? All craftsmen are dishonest, you imply. No, you blatantly stated
it above. You're limiting your own options if you really believe what you
declare.
Who could you possibly trade or barter with? By your own words, you're
certain to be treated dishonestly. Certainly any craftsman to whom you said
that would refuse to contract, or barter, with you.

Childish attempt at turnabout noted, found somewhat less than even mildly
amusing, and dismissed. That's beneath you, Terry.

Example 3.
Yet again you veil an insult in false self-deprecation.
Comment: You seem to be very cynical. You seem to have let your bad
experiences somehow turn you into what appears to be a small and venal
person, your impressive intellect and education notwithstanding.
I'm a, now retired, former multiply-licensed contractor who _never_ failed
an inspection or had an unsatisfactorily resolved customer complaint in his
life! That's not to say I've never made mistakes. I have, and still do.
However, I always made and make certain they were and are corrected before
requesting an inspection or submitting an invoice.
But, by Terry Ridder's stated _opinion_, I must have been and must still be
dishonest.
What phenomenal arrogance and rudeness!
Bye, Terry. Come back again when you can't stay so long.
