Dave, you don't say if it's A36 or not and what will be the bracing
interval. For A36, the beam charts list this as about 123 kip ft at 15 foot
bracing interval.

Subject: [TheForge] moment of a beam
I am looking for the on-line tables or if anyone has tables or charts for
finding the safe working load limit of a specific size beam, the "moment" of
a beam.
This is a W-18, 50 #/foot, depth of 17-5/8", span of 15feet.
If you can point me in the right direction or if you happen to know the
answer, please contact me here: dave at magichammer.net thanks dave mudge
