Ray, Solid zinc sheet is / was used to make countertops and sinks just like copper. It was soldered with tin/lead or tin/zinc solder. I would suggest the tin/zinc for food areas :-) Make sure to bid in some learning costs as it is not a trivial undertaking it is much tougher to work than copper. Jim James Binnion jbin at well.com
