If you use just the motor and hang another alternator off of it to a couple
of batteries and then to an inverter to get the 110. it might work.  I WOULD
NOT FOOL WITH THE WELDER.  Or just buy a gen set .

I can't help you with your question; I bought a welder 
generator in the first place for just that reason.

I did a GoogleEarth search for Guemes Island WA. and am 
looking at the intersection of Guemes Island Rd. and 
Edens Rd. It isn't a very high res. picture 
unfortunately though it claims to be from 06.

It doesn't show any snow either. <grin>
