Is there still a Cardinal Forge in East Molesley near Hampton Court?
I forget the guy's name but he sure was hospitable.  Treated me and
Dorothy Stiegler to a great dinner in 1980.

And the Jean Tijou screens at Hampton Court are worth a run out there
on the train if you're already in London.

My visit there led to the most gratifying compliment I ever
received.  I was showing slides -- historic ironwork and my own work --
to a student seminar.  Cyril Stanley Smith, then professor emeritus
and in poor health, took the trouble to attend. He asked some qestions
about my slides of Tijou's work at Hampton Court which, by chance, I
was able to answer. Then he said, "Your work is better."  Yow! :-)
