Champion 400? #1: Don't try to pry or wedge the brass gear. Also, the fan
blades are riveted to a cast blade mount- don't beat on them. Try cleaning
with mineral spirits or other solvent. Loosen the rear bearing keeper and
try gently tapping the crank and working back and forth. The bearings are
all different. The bearings in the rear are 1/4" balls, available @ Miller
Bearings in sacks of 100 for about $10. There are some bronze bushings and
some caged bearings. I'm told the bearings out of an old Schwin bicycle will
work for some of the bearings. I don't have the patience to mess with it. I
think my 400 would make a good target for my Ruger Redhawk 44 magnum.....

Subject: [TheForge] Gotta froze-up Champion blower
Hi folks:
I've acquired a champion that's froze up. Assuming it's just gunked up
inside, is there an alternative to taking it apart . If I do have to
take it apart, any hints as to what to do or what not to do?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.
