I never did understand this anvil orientation thing- both my anvils
move all over the place, all the time.
I have em on "urban stumps"- these are bases made from bundles of
2x4's- and they are pretty easy to walk around when you want to move
em, even the 250lb Nimba.
So its not uncommon for me to move my anvil a couple of times in one
day.
Sometimes I want it right next to the power hammer, so I can straighten
stuff as I work, back and forth between the two.
Other days I want it over by the twisting machine.
Sometimes I am working 20 foot pieces, and the whole shop has to be
rearranged so I can run the length thru the hammer and on the anvil.
Other times I want it over by a different table, or vise.
And I walk all around my anvils, depending on which face, horn, or end
I need for the job.
So I cant really tell which is "right" and which is "left" and which is
"wrong".
