We accept credit cards through First National merchant solutions of Omaha
NE. and have been happy with their service. Since we are small time they
didn't make us get an electronic terminal. We just use the no-carbon paper
slips and phone in the transactions at night when we get home. When my son
is at a knife show he would call in big sales before completing the
transactions. We have had the service for about 2 years and just did our
100th transaction. On a typical weekend we take 2 cc sales and they are
usually someone that wasn't expecting to buy something and would have been a
lost sale. In 7 years of doing craft shows we have only had one bad check,
which we eventually got paid for, but what a hastle. We had one debit card
fail, I waited until pay day, ran it again, and it cleared.

The credit card also allows me to take custom orders at an event and ship
later when I know what the UPS charge will be.
