No need for that.  

We in the Sciences find the best approach to dissuading (too many)
others from entering these fields is to make as MUCH information as
possible freely available.  Scares them all off.  

If I explained my field in simple terms, any of you would instantly
understand it.  But if I were to explain it in sufficient detail for you
to use it profitably (i.e., as a career), your eyes would glaze over in
no time.

It's only when "knowledge" is arcane (and usually way wrong), like
astrology and alchemy, that "ordinary" folks will go to any trouble to
master it...
