The F-16 consumes about 13% of full fuel capacity per minute in reheat
(afterburners). The aircraft can fly at full throttle for 7.7 minutes
and then it runs out of fuel. The 28 gallon per minute figure is
probably the consumption under military power (fancy term for regular
mode). The aircraft holds about 7000 pounds of fuel. 149 gallons =
about 1650 pounds, depending on the type of fuel in question. Do the math.
