[TheForge] Air hammer recommendations?

Roger,
Jeff @ mockingbird Forge bought a Turkish hammer @ the 2001 Madison
conference. We have used it hard every day with very few problems; a few
minor adjustments and a start capacitor on the motor. We wore out a couple
sets of dies but as Uri would say, "Is good tool". It is very ergonomic and
user friendly. I don't know where you live, but you are welcome to use the
big mean green machine if you haven't used one. That way you can see what it
will do and find out if it likes you.
Also, several friends have Big Blues and are happy with them plus they cost
a lot less and they will finance. You do have to have a separate air
compressor but there are dozens of other uses for a high cap compressor. I
have used and like both; they do what they are supposed to do but I don't
have any info on the cost of electricity to run each. Ask Dan about his. It
has performed faithfully for years. Try several and note your likes and
dislikes on each. A new power hammer is like getting married. It is a big
investment and it's best to be sure before you commit yourself.

I was at BAM conference and am considering buying one of Tom Clark's air
hammers
Anyone have feed back good or bad about this hammer. I believe they are
imported from Turkey.
