	There are (I beleive) five volumes to the series.  A very comprehensive 
compendium of old world know-how for simple living.  Blacksmithing, 
cooking, hunting, slaughtering and butchering, tanning, weaving, 
building, coopering, carpentry... you get the picture.  I'd be pretty 
surprised if maple syrup production in it.  They were published in the 
1970s and I think they may still be in print.  Very good information there.
