[TheForge] Hardness Tester

Jerry,

I don't have one in my shop but I have used them on the job, quite a few
times over that last 30 years. They work fine if you know what you're doing.
Not as repeatable as a bench unit but close. They also aren't as convenient
for things that can be bench tested, or for high volume testing, as a bench
unit but they are more versatile. They fit inside things where other
hardness testers don't go, and are definitely portable (e.g. take it with
you and use it to test scrap before hauling it home or test a large piece in
place). Well worth having.

Dan

Does anyone have one of these in their shop?

My brother is giving me one, just thought I would get
some opinions on the thing.

Thanks,

Jerry
