Hmmmm. Tungsten wouldn't have to be hollow. It's got all three, high 
specific heat, high resistence and good conductivity. A little heavy maybe 
but with what my intuition says would be good forge chip characteristics.

Dang, maybe darned near perfect. Like your butt; only potentially useful. 
<grin>

Think I'll hit the drill shop and rotomill guys and start collecting the 
carbides from worn bits. I actually have a FREE  source for this stuff.

Good idea, I'll give it a try.
