Good research Terry.
Cenospheres are only good to around 1,800f so perlite would survive better.
They're also way too small, the burner flame would blow these right out of
the forge.
The alumina spheres by Deep Sea Floatation are 3.6" in dia. WAY too big for
a chip forge. Well, okay, any forge I plan on building. <grin>
The alumina spheres by Custom Tech on the other hand may be darned near
perfect if 1" isn't too large and they'll sell small quantities.
