I'm not messing with burners right now, I have a shop to get up and equipped
first. As I may have mentioned, my next generation burner will be a full
tube taper spun unit. Till then what I'm using is good enough. <grin> It
ain't broke you know. <snicker> Why fix it? <Cackle snort>

Unfortunately my addiction is starting to bother me again. You know the one
where I can't leave something "good enough" alone? I'm thinking I'll dig out
some of the rammable refractory I have and see about making some life saver
forge chips and maybe a plenum, grate set up to take my "good enough"
burner.

If the prototype actually works I'll just remove the air grate, tuyere and
crap from my big coal forge and drop the chip grate assembly in it's place.
With just a little planning ahead they'll be interchangeable so if I can
convince one or more students it's FUN digging through a couple feet of rock
overburden to the next seam of good coal I can change back. <conniving grin>

Today though I need to clean the barn, get more dog food; a pair of Great
Pyrenees seem to consume a fair quantity of food for pitty's sake and maybe
knock a thing or two off my todo list.

Now where did I put that rammable refractory?

If it ain't forged
it ain't real.
Wrought iron is.
