Jesse,
As anyone on this list would tell you, the FIRST thing you should do is
to log onto ABANA.org and wend your way to the info on the local
"affiliates" (formerly called chapters).  Find the one nearest you and
contact them.  Participate as much as you can.

Are there any smiths near Billings, MT?  I want to learn the art. 
Howerver, 
I have no one to lear from and not sure where to begin.  Any advice
would be 
greatly appreciated.  At this point, I am stuck in Billings and unable
to 
travel much and was hoping to find a smith nearby that I could learn
from.
