This site suggests that that product may not live up to expectations:

However, those cases were for bleeding from major arteries.

Everyone should know the basic method for stopping arterial bleeding:
Put pressure on the artery between the wound and the heart. Knowing the
pressure points helps. If you don't know the pressure points, then
apply pressure directly on the wound. (This is first aid, remember, not
an emergency-room treatment. You're trying to keep the person from
bleeding to death. Causing some additional injury is not a problem if
you save his life in the process.)

Hey Folks,
My sister dropped a kitchen knife on her foot last night and couldn't
stop
the bleeding. I happened to call just after it happened and talked her
thru
basic first aid till the EMS folks arrived.
She is OK after a trip to the emergency room, but it scared me off my
butt
to order the latest version of Quick Clot from www.bestglide.com
There are many other sources.
The new stuff is called Quick Clot ACS and would be a good item to add
to
your first aid kit.
The training videos are pretty impressive. The military is using it in
Iraq
and Iran for serious trauma and it has already saved many lives.
Chuck
