I used to hate it when a job proved more stubborn than 
me. Then some 29 years ago I went to work for the state 
of AK. and learned the futility of ambition. Now if a 
job looks to be very stubborn I give it to one of the 
new guys. <grin>

Seriously though, what was it about the billets you had 
trouble with Kim?

I know I've tried welding things I discovered later 
weren't particularly weldable without going to special 
and or extreme measures.
