Bob,
         Thanks for the ideas.  There are two areas on either side of 
the firepot that will have diamond-plate added that will extend 
through the rim 4" or so.  So there will bea about a 12" shelf on 
each side of the firepot. I plan to work from the left side as facing 
the cart and the right side extension will have little walls added to 
keep the coal from spilling off.
          I'm going to add a rod around the front side to hang tongs 
on and possibly a hammer or two. I have some sheet stainless out of a 
commercial kitchen that I plan to use to make a shield/chimney.  It 
should line up naturally with the cart.
         I have a Champion 400 that I rebuilt for a blower.  Turns 
very smoothly and runs down very slowly.  I do need a new wooden 
handle for it.  I'd rather not get into the wood turning business.  Any ideas?
