Certainly not!

Not only that, they're also data storage. Each piece has a yarn
attached.
Ol' Cecil gimme that when....
I was taking the back road to Barss Corner an' would you believe
that thing was layin' in the middle of the road?
Charlie Huckins didn't even know what that was but he had it
proping up his....
That time the hurricane took away Ben's wharf? There was a whole
pile of them things underneath.
Two of us worked all day back in '84 to make that and it didn't
fit when we were done. [1]
And so on. Of course, now I have so much "distributed inventory" that
I've begun to forget just some of the yarns. Wetware bitrot.

[1] When I moved the shop, I invited a couple of people who collect
um..., inventory, to come and pick over the huge heap of stuff I
could bear to send to the dump. So now a woman over along the
shore has this Hand Forged Object prominently displayed on her
lawn that Ben Davis and I spent hours making, only to determine
that the project simply wasn't doable that way. Kind of a
compliment, actually, that someone thinks even your mistakes are
beautiful. :-)
