[TheForge] ABANA cook-out

Well I have been trying to rest my arm and a lot of typing really doesn't
help. This was my first conference so I was trying to be a sponge. I brought
my video camera and recorded the demos. There was three a day and they
averaged about 3-4 hours. The first person I was introduced to was Daryl
Miers. I really enjoyed the classes, but it was not organized well. They had
four different lists that seamed hidden on the website. The demo list with
times, locations, and demonstrator did not say what they were demonstrating,
that was on another list. The list changed and was not updated very well. My
friend wanted to go on the UW metal lab tour the people who were
volunteering their time were not informed of the different tours. There had
been an issue long before with the local chapter and the person in charge of
the conference. Disregarding this the demonstrators were very good and I
will be absorbing the video I recorded for a long time. I also met some
really great people.
Regards
Martin

Is anyone going to say anything in detail about the conference other than a
few comments on the BBQ?
Seems like a waste of TheForge.
Maybe no one watched any demos or saw anything new, just ate oysters and
drank beer.
