Yep, thanks to Ries, a great time was had by all ;-)
My deepest apologies, all, that I was unable to follow through on my
intentions, but circumstances well beyond my control occurred and are
still occuring. I'm not going to discuss it on line, but I will offer
my most sincere thanks to the various gentlemen of TheForge for
putting up with me and my bitching, and giving me rides to at least
ease the situation, as much as it could be eased.
I owe you all, one way or t'other, and I won't forget it. Likely won't
be able to pay you back directly, either, so I expect I'll need to
work ever harder at helping out other folks in a bind. But, let me
publicly post my deep and sincere thanks to all of you, for being you,
and putting up with me bitching about my difficulties ;-)
And, the Conference was WONDERFUL ;-)
Expect, once it's safe, I'll tell y'all about all the cool things I
saw and learned. The Aussie demo team was the greatest, in terms of
the sorts of things I wanted to learn- they do a bunch of handwork,
and opened my mind to all kinda cool things ;-)
But, for the time being, I'm going to withdraw and deal with a few
challenges, and wish all of y'all could have been there.

Don't like getting old? Beats the Hel out of the alternative.
The purpose of life is not to arrive at the grave, a beautiful corpse,
pretty and well-preserved, but to slide in sideways, thoroughly used
up, totally worn out, proclaiming, "Wow! What a ride!"
