That is the Japanese swordsmith Yoshindo applying a paste to a rough 
blade he forged.  The demonstration was pretty cramped.  I am surprised 
you could see anything at all.  At 9:30 p.m. he will be tempering a 
blade.  Hopefully the translator will be available.  Perfect weather 
out here today.  Had to bail out for a little while to ride the 
sporster.

All I see is butts, knees, shorts and socks in the foreground and
headless folks in the background.
I guess no one has actually looked to see what it is set up to shoot.
