Correct. In my more (who me?<grin>) flippant replya I 
failed to mention garlic and other plant oils are 
potent insecticides. I forget what the basic oil in 
peppers is but it's a very potent insectecide, so much 
so it is an effective repellent. Even bugs learn not to 
touch the deadly stuff.

Eating enough of certain things like garlic will put 
enough in your system it begins to exude from your 
pores. You in effect as well as reality become an 
insect repellent dispenser. Vitamine B in large 
quantities is somewhat less effective. As far as I know 
eating lots of peppers doesn't have the effect.
