Actually, Marshall is probably going by there today to assess the problem.  He's aware the hammer will have to be lifted out over the anvil.  We were discussing possible ways of accomplishing this.  Jacking it up and slipping in RR ties seems to be the concensus so far.  Other ideas - especially from folks what's done it - are welcome.
