A web search reveals that McQueeney, Texas has a population of 40 and
two general stores in the second decade of the last century.  Grew to
300 by mid-century.  The Simplex Mfg. Co. might have consisted of
Uncle Rip, young Harvey and Ol' Miz Ellis working in Ol' Miz Ellis'
pecan shed by lantern light.
