[TheForge] Starting up

Absolutely great advice.
Notes:
When I find that people that I am trying to teach don't do things
right, I have found the following to be true::
1. I am left handed. This is confusing for right handers.
2. When hammering, the hammer moves fast and nuances of holding the
hammer and where you hit are lost.
3. Many people hit the wrong place continuously (see above number 2).
This is because of::
A. They think that they are hitting the metal correctly and
missed the details. Show them slowly with several extra heats.
B. They simply can not tell the difference in the way that I am
hitting the metal and the way that they are hitting the metal. This is more
difficult to fix, but lengthy explanations are usually needed.
It's going to be fun Andrei. There are 100 ways to skin a cat. Of
which 10 ways are probably useful, tidy, and work efficiently. Of which 2
are really good. No use doing things the hard way when it's not necessary.
Also, before you go out and do some hammering, swing the hammer at
breakfast and supper about 100 times each. Strengthens up the arm for a
long day at the forge<G>.
Enjoy.
