Another drive-by gloat: [who was it said that?]

About 1981, dropped in to an antique shop down in the village. Oh,
look! A big anvil in great if not quite pristine condition and a
little farrier's anvil with a big chunk out of the face.

How much for the big one?

Dollar a pound. And that must weigh a hundred pounds, don't it?

    Yeah, I should think so.

    So, a hundred bucks.

[mutter mumble] Guess I'll take it.

So I go off home, get $100 and the truck, return to antique shop, pay
money. And we commence to carry the big one out to the truck.

[Grunt, wheeze] This weighs more than a hunnert pounds don't it?

    Ayah, sure feels like it.

Nice 305# Peter Wright I've used even since. Never saw another deal like
that before or since. So it's not an oxymoron, just what the
statistics guys call an "outlier". Probably had something to do with
the phase of the moon.
