Well, I admire Hatcher's work.  The man was something of a genius in 
this area, but it seems he was not qualified to state what energy would 
cause a fatal wound unless the 60 lb-ft number was referring to the 
standard .30 cal. FMJ military round.  The .22lr produces a muzzle 
energy of something like 35 lb-ft and easily kills humans with a shot to 
the base of the skull.
