[TheForge] swedish videos problems and solutions

hello;

several people who downloaded the videos are having problems playing
them with the windows media player. well, borrowing my son's windows
2k computer i have found the problem and at least three solutions.

the videos have been checked on both linux and macos-x.
under macos-x using microsoft's window media player for macos-x
version 9, the videos play fine, no problems.

under linux using either mplayer or xine, the videos play fine, no
problems.

under windows 2k, the videos will not play. the problem is the windows
media player. it is braindead. what can i say it is a microsoft product.

solutions in order of least expensive to most expensive ;-)

0. download vlc for windows from http://www.videolan.org
this is a free download, just costs you bandwidth.
i have tested this on my son's win2k computer and the 11 swedish videos
play fine, no problems.

1. download the knoppix linux live-cd, burn to a cdrom and boot your
computer using the knoppix linux live-cd and view the videos.
this is a free download, just costs you bandwidth.

2. forget windows and install debian linux distribution. ;-)

3. forget windows and run down to your local apple store and buy a mac.
