Hmm.  Not trying to be politically incorrect here.  But one of the
advantages of a car over a horse is that you can turn it off and it won't
neigh in your ear all night.

Now in this, I am NOT suggesting that our lovely lady smiths are in any
manner ovine, bovine, porcine, nor equine.  I am just trying to make the
direct point that ladies (including the smith variety) can require a level
of maintenance that is somewhat higher than that required by the greasy old
lubed once a fortnight electric motor.

Hmm.  Am I digging it worse, or actually crawling out of that hole??????
