Now you've got the idea!

In fact, let's talk about this whole A&O hammer thing. I'll concede, every 
smith needs as big a "power" hammer as it's possible to aquire. But. . . 
Does it REALLY need electricity, a river, wind, diesel/gas/steam?

How about a walking beam hammer? Then we could have the pretty women or men 
for the lady smiths among us taking a more direct roll in smithing. Picture 
a teeter totter with your scantilly clad hammer drive of your preferred 
orientation walking back and forth.

The only downsides I see are having to feed the hammer when you're not using 
it and having it make suggestions.
