Grover, what you said is exactly what the majority of people are doing.
The 'media' shows the tiny minority of lazy ass people that don't have the
skills required to work at Micky D's . Some of those stores are offering $10
/ hour and a $6,000 sign on bonus.

Poor choices made New Orleans one of the "poorest cities in the U S A
(according to the media)."
Poor choices told the citizens to go to the dome for protection instead of
getting the hell out of dodge.
God (or whatever forces you believe in, possibly random chance) sent the
storm there out of serendipity.
Poor choices has the same citizens in Atlanta being "forced out of hotels"
where they have sat upon their bums for 6 months instead of going out and
looking for jobs.

If I were to be put out of work, I would be at McD next day. That way I
could pay my bills while I am looking for more profitable work. NOT sitting
in a hotel watching CNN (Communist news network) tell everyone how badly I
am treated.

Yes, it is a bad situation. But I know of at least one person (a
blacksmith) that was hit hard and is using his teeth to pull his belt up
around his waist in order to get on with life.

Click (the soap box switch is disengaged).

And it's absurd<G>.
