[TheForge] OT Threads ?

My Yurt held up pretty well. The 5 1/2" drill stem uprights, laced with 5/8"
steel cable, limits the damage from falling trees.
I had to repair a broken rafter but other than roof repair and re-shingling
the only other damage was water damage to tooling and electrical equipment
My machine shop needed roof repair and doors and my house needed new
shingles and roof repair. Lost 20 trees. One of them fell on my tractor/fork
lift, but I fared a better than other folks
Daryl Reeves had 12' of water in his shop in N.O.
Randy Ostendorf in Abita Springs, Dave Mudge near Bogalusa and Gary Ford in
Pascagoula all had much more serious damage.
Buddy Leonard in Covington and Johnny Argus in Slidell also had shop damage.
Some of my friends closer to the Coast lost everything but their cars and
the clothes they were wearing when they evacuated.
Chuck
