physical challenges.

my ability to drive has been restricted by the doctors. they have
concerns about my losing control of the vehicle if my arms go out, lock
up, or just do not respond to nerve signals.

i personally do not have a car (see above). that being said my daughter
has a car and so does the wife. there is also trans-vac, the handicapped
bus service. if i have to go somewhere most of the time i am driven or
take the trans-vac bus. the rare occasions that i do drive it is late at
night when there are nearly no other vehicles on the road. basically, my
driving is limited to driving the garden tractor i use to mow the lawn.
given that we are in an extreme drought that began march 2005 i did not
even get to do that much last year.

no, there you are wrong. ideally, it would be nice if everyone would
think more about the impact they are having on the environment and see
that the love affair with the automobile is causing serious harm to the
environment and to the long-term economy. personally, i find people,
who drive gas guzzling suvs to commute to work, extremely selfish.
