[TheForge] re sev. ques etc and some other views

I started my first real job when I was 11 years old, working in the local
service station changing truck tires on log trucks the hard way, with a tire
tool and a big hammer. I made 25 cents an hour. I worked 3 hours a day after
grammar school and all day Saturday. Since I had a real job my dad started
charging me rent. 50 cents a week.
So I don't want to hear any sympathy from that other guy about line workers
making $60 / hr putting a screw in a door or a bolt in a hood.

Just a thought, but when we used to have 12 to 16 year old kids working we
didn't have the juvenile delinquent problem that we have today.
