We have had two snows; the first was 2 inches, the second (today) looks
like 1 inch at best. Normal snowfall is 60" here in Maine, USA. We've
had plenty of moisture, just hasn't been cold. Two years ago we had a
small path carved between the house and the barn, 4' deep piles on
either side.

Here the difference isn't precipitation, it is temperature. 40 degrees F
on Christmas Day is way off the map in Maine. Very warm so far this
winter, we probably run the wood stove 50% of the time (by December 1,
the stove is usually always on).
