Grant makes one- his is just a bottom tool, handled. 36 bucks.
If you go to http://www.blacksmithsdepot.com
then click on texturing hand tools in the product menu, he calls it a
two groove tool.
You can see how his looks, and decide if you want to copy it or build
your own.
Grants tools are, I believe, 4340, hardened and heat treated, and they
last a good long time.
I have some that have run thousands of feet of stainless, and they
still work great.
He does the design in a 3d cad program, then uses CNC mills and EDM to
make the masters, then forges the actual tool on a 100ton fly press- he
makes it look easy, but he has years of experience and tens of
thousands in tools to make em just right.
