[TheForge] Excessive scaling?

When I was learning to fly (20+ years ago) I was one of only two in my ground school class that had no trouble learning to use a "flight computer" which is nothing more that a fancy circular slide rule.  The youngsters had never seen a slide rule before.

I love it.  I have a 6 " bamboo slide rule that I carried for years in my
nerd pack.  I used to use a circular slide rule for motorcycle enduro
events.  Now I like to work with steel.  It may outlast me.
