I haven't done this myself but the author *sounds* like he knows what
he's talking about.   I have a couple of 10HP 3PH motors, one from a
motel laundry machine and one from a 400 PSI compressor.  One of these
days I might try to make one do something...

Four years ago, John Newman posted a reference to www.n-e-m.com as a
source of some parts to make the project easier but that site seems to
be defunct now.
