[TheForge] Brand Loyalty?.. Sky, SCUBA, etc gear. OT

You younguns keep on casting asparagus on us old buzzards. When u can catch
up with some of the 65 & 70+ guys in blacksmithing or some of us other old
buzzards in sky & scuba, etc endeavors you'll have earned ur bragging
rights.
The Diveair dbl hose, Dacor dbl hose, and Aqua Master dbl hose were
state-of-the-art in the 50's. Very few remember how to make a diving outfit
out of an AN6-004 Air Force oxygen regulator and a fire extinguisher bottle.
We also thought it was natural to make a coal forge out of a barrel lined
with red clay, and use a vacuum cleaner motor for air. My daddy just
expected forge welds to "take"- and they did.
There were 78 rpm records and Para Commanders back then, too..... I'm a
Scuba Pro nut when it comes to diving, so I'm not totally averse to change
if you show me, though some of my gear is older than my dive buddies.
Bill R., El Presedente convinced me his Petting Horse anvil is superior in
many ways to my 100 year-old anvils. Yeah, he's a real *SNOB* about it -
makes me want to drop it on his foot. (Green w/envy)
Even an anvil weighs less under water; I still want to find that sink near
Natural Bridge where Col Blitch told my grandfather the Confederates dumped
the Yankee military equipment after chasing them back to Port Leon. Cold
water will keep anvil fresh near 'bout forever....

Ok that was supposed to be XIV (or 14). But the paper charts still stand,
But I
did switch to breathing Nitrox back in 92.
